Wilfred Ndidi Emerges as Leicester City’s Model of Consistency

Leicester, UK – In a season marked by fluctuating performances, Wilfred Ndidi has stood out as Leicester City’s paragon of consistency, asserted by the club’s manager, Claude Puel. The 21-year-old midfielder has notched up an impressive streak, featuring in every one of Leicester City’s 28 English Premier League games this season and is poised to make his 29th start against Bournemouth at the King Power Stadium on Saturday – a testament to his unwavering commitment since joining the Foxes last year.

Leicester City, in a bid to break the deadlock against Bournemouth in the Premier League, seeks to triumph over a team that has proven challenging in past encounters, with four of the five meetings concluding in draws and one ending in a loss.

While Ndidi earns accolades for his steadfast presence on the field, Puel acknowledges a facet of inconsistency in the young player’s shooting abilities. Despite this, the Leicester City manager recognizes Ndidi’s multifaceted contributions.

“Ndidi is the most consistent player, but he’s not consistent in his shooting,” remarked Puel during his pre-match conference.

Puel emphasized Ndidi’s significance to the team, lauding his ball-recovery skills, strength in duels, and ability to instigate plays effectively.

“He is a different player from last season,” Puel noted, hinting at Ndidi’s continuous growth.

Expressing his frustration over recent losses, Puel underscored the necessity for patience and understanding, especially with the young players in the squad. As Leicester City seeks to regain momentum, Puel remains optimistic about the squad’s potential.

In a positive development, Puel disclosed that Japanese forward Shinji Okazaki has resumed training, offering hope for his potential inclusion in the upcoming games. “He came back this week with the squad, and we will see tomorrow if he can come into the [matchday] squad for the next game or not,” Puel said. “I will see if he is match-fit or not.”
