Wilfred Ndidi: Leicester City boss gives update on return date of injured Nigerian midfielder

Enzo Maresca, Leicester City manager has disclosed that injured Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi will be back to action after the international break.

The Super Eagles’ midfield enforcer sustained knock during Nigeria’s 2-2 friendly match against Saudi Arabia in October.

He was unable to feature against Mozambique few days after and has not been listed for the country’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers next week.

Maresca who was giving update ahead of his team’s Championship clash against Middlesbrough is optimistic the Nigerian who had been a regular starter this campaign will be back in few weeks.

“Ndidi and Yunus are still out. Hopefully, we can have both after the international break,” the 43-year-old told the club’s official website.

Dennis is joining us for part of the session already, so hopefully, he can have him after the break.”

Leicester City are still leading the Championship table with 39 points after 15 matches.
