Williams Troost Ekong: Nigeria defender reacts to Watford win at Norwich City

Nigeria defender Williams Troost Ekong have showered praises on his teammates as Watford returned to winning ways after a 1-0 win at Norwich City.

A a 4-0 humiliating defeat in the hands of Swansea had put a setback in the promotion target of Watford at the Liberty stadium, Wales.

Starting the year on a bright note, Watford defeated Norwich City 1-0 away from home as the lone goal was scored in the 86th minute through substitute, Vakoun Bayo.

The Hornets recorded successive defeats before getting an impressive away win at Norwich City, which should eventually put the team on the right pedestal in the league.

The Nigeria international, who was in action, was impressed with the win and described it as the best way to start 2023.

“The best way to start 202+3! Well done lads,” he wrote on social media.

Ekong has struggled for playing time at Watford as he’s not been a mainstay in the lineup of the Hornets this season.
