Wisdom Fernando: Nigerian midfielder joins Ghanaian side, Ashante Kotoko

Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko have secured a three year deal to bring in creative Nigerian midfielder, Wisdom Fernando.

Fernando sealed the move to one of the most successful clubs in Ghanaian football before the expiration of the league’s transfer window.

He is expected to team up with the Porcupine Warriors before the weekend as they intensify preparations for the new football season.

Fernando was a household name in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL having featured and performed well for notable clubs including Akwa United and Enyimba FC.

He played a key role in helping the Promise Keepers winning the 2021 NPFL title.

He scored a total of seven goals and provided eight in 76 league appearances while playing in the NPFL.

His arrival at Asante Kotoko swells the number of foreign signings to five following the earlier capture of Esmat Abdulhamid, Mohamed Camara, Samuel O’ Neil and Abdelrahman Yousef Yagoub.
