Women’s Federation Cup Round of 32 Wrap: FC Robo hit Immaculate for 13

The Round of 32 of the 2023 Women’s Federation Cup kicked off on Thursday but the major action attractions took place on Friday with 2021 finalist, FC Robo Queens of Lagos thrashed Immaculate Queens of Enugu 13-0.
Rukayat Shobowale scored the first goal of the one-sided encounter in the third minute of play. Seven minutes later, Maria Oke doubled the lead for the Lagos Landladies.
Rukayat Shobowale in the 14th minute made it 3-0 before an own goal increased the lead to four.
Folashade Ijamilusi scored the fifth goal in the 49th minute while goals from Esther Onyenezide, Favour Nkwocha, and Adedoyin Afolayan who netted her first career goal for the club doubled up the scoreline to 8-0.
Opeyemi Ajakaye scored in the 85th minute to add insult to Immaculate Queen’s injury, while Ijamilusi netted her second to complete the rout.
Elsewhere, Rivers Angels of Rivers State also pummeled Golden Sun of Bayelsa State 8-0 at the Eket Stadium.
The former Nigerian champions raced into a 2-0 halftime lead thanks to goals from Adaobi Okah and Juanita Aguadze.
Six more followed in the second half courtesy of Okah (hat-trick), Ambassa Alice, Okpe, and Alvine Dah-Zozzu.
In Enugu, Delta Queens of Delta State also earned a huge 6-0 win over Paul E FC of the FCT at Rangers Field.
Mercy Omokwo scored the first two goals of the game in the seventh and 13th minute respectively.
Chinaza Agoh added two more goals in the 38th and 47th minutes before Ifitezue Ifeoma’s 78th-minute goal sealed the win.
Meanwhile, Lakeside Queens of Ogun State secured a 2-0 win against Kwara Ladies of Kwara State.
Edo Queens of Edo State pipped Sunshine Queens of Info State 1-0 at the Awka Township Stadium, Anambra State.
Another Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership side, Nasarawa Amazons of Nasarawa State recorded a 5-2 win over Gallant FC of Kaduna State.
Edeh Loveth bagged a hat-trick while Nwoha Confidence, Aweda Titilayo, Saleh Blessing, and Adebayo Idowu scored a goal each.
Naija Ratels defeated Adamawa Queens 4-3 on penalties in a clash of top-flight NWFL Premiership teams after regulation time ended goalless.
In another clash of top-flight clubs, Heartland Queens of Imo State edged Confluence Queens of Kogi State 2-1 in Asaba.
Royal Queens of Delta State earned a 1-0 win against First Mahi Babes in Ekiti.
Fortress Ladies saw off Owo Ita 4-0, while Honey Badgers recorded the same result against Kada Queens.
Moje Queens of Erin-Ile, Kwara State walked over Ekiti Queens in Lagos. Osun Babes also walked over its opponent in Abuja.
Earlier on Thursday, Dannaz Ladies of Lagos walked over Awka Angels after the opponent failed to show up at the match venue.
