Zaidu Sanusi: Super Eagles defender undergoes successful surgery in Portugal

Injured Nigeria and FC Porto defender, Zaidu Sanusi has successfully underwent surgery in his knee in Portugal.

The Super Eagles’ left back sustained the injury on his return to the club after the African Cup of Nations, AFCON tournament with Nigeria.

The successful operation took place at a specialist hospital in Sao Francisco, Porto under the supervision of Professor Jose Carlos Noronha.

The 26-year-old is expected to be sidelined for around eight months meaning he will be back into action at the start of next season.

Sanusi has made just five league appearances for the Portuguese giants.
