2023/24 NWFL Premiership draw: Newcomers Remo Stars and Ekiti Queens in tough group

The draw for the 2023/2024 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership season was conducted during the Annual General Assembly (AGA) in Lagos on Thursday.

Group B had heavyweight including the last three Champions of the league, Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens, and Delta Queens.

Two newly promoted teams, Remo Stars and Ekiti Queens are also the Group B alongside returning Sunshine Queens.

Lagos-based side, FC Robo Queens and Edo Queens complete Group B.

Group A houses Nasarawa Amazons, Heartland Queens, Confluence Queens, Adamawa Queens, Dannaz Ladies, Naija Ratels, Royal Queens, and Abia Angels.

The league returned to hitherto 16 teams from 14 teams of the last three seasons.

The top three teams from each group will qualify for the title-deciding NWFL Premiership Super Six.

The 2023/2024 NWFL Premiership season will kick off on November 15, 2023.
