2023 African Games: Cote d’Ivoire referee to handle Nigeria vs Ghana women’s final

Natacha Gérardine Konan from Cote D’Ivoire will serve as the center referee for the 2023 African Games Women’s football competition final between Ghana and Nigeria on Thursday.
Assisting her will be Sakina Hamidou Alfa from Niger (Assistant I), Alice Umutesi from Rwanda (Assistant II), and Raya Sisay from Ethiopia (Fourth Official).
Jodie Marian Reid Seton from Liberia will act as the Match Commissioner, while Janny Sikazwe from Zambia will serve as the Referee Assessor.
Other officials for the final match include Yoane Claude Elong Bebey from Cameroon as the General Coordinator, Oluchi Ngozi Tobe Chukwu from Nigeria as the Media Officer, and Odochi Joan Efughu, also from Nigeria, as the Security Officer.
The game is scheduled to take place at Cape Coast Sports Stadium at 9:00 pm Nigerian time.
Both sides have won the same number of games ahead of the showdown, with Ghana playing more games.
The Black Princesses have secured victories in three out of their four games against Ethiopia (1-0), Tanzania (2-1), and Senegal (3-1). Their only draw was a 1-1 result against Uganda in the final group match.
As for the Falconets, the withdrawal of Cameroon meant Christopher Danjuma’s side played two group games against Morocco (2-0) and Senegal (4-0) before defeating Uganda 2-0 in the semi-final. They are the only team yet to concede a goal in the tournament.
