2023 African Games: Daniel Daga blames Nigeria struggle on communication issues

Nigerian midfielder, Daniel Daga, has pinpointed communication breakdowns as a significant challenge plaguing the U20 team at the ongoing 2023 African Games in Ghana.
Following a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Uganda in their opening match on Friday, Daga emphasized the need for improved communication and urgency, particularly in the transition from midfield to attack.
“Looking ahead to our next game against South Sudan, we need to address our communication issues on the field,” Daga stated, highlighting the critical role communication plays in team coordination and cohesion.
“A more cohesive approach, especially in midfield-to-attack transitions, is essential for our success in the upcoming match,” he added, stressing the importance of swift and effective communication to facilitate better team performance.
A victory against South Sudan in their upcoming match would position the Ladan Bosso-led team for a chance to advance to the semifinals of the tournament.
