2023 Federation Cup: Rivers United vs Enyimba Round of 64 tie gets new date

The 2023 Federation Cup clash between Rivers United and Enyimba which was initially slated to take place last Wednesday now has a new date.

The all Nigeria Premier Football League clash was postponed due to Rivers United’s continental engagement.

The Pride of Rivers will on Sunday face Young Africans of Tanzania in the return leg of the CAF Confederation Cup with a 2-0 deficit from the first leg at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Dar-es-Salaam.

The team will have to overturn a 2-0 deficit to make it to the semi-final of the second-tier Africa inter-club competition.

As a result of this, the Round of 64 tie between Rivers United and Enyimba will now hold on May 3, 2023, in Uyo.

The clash of the two Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) teams tagged to be the star match of the round promises to be a keenly contested one.

Another all-NPFL encounter also awaits Nigerian football fans in the Round of 32 at the end of his game.

The winner of the game between Rivers United and Enyimba will face Plateau United in the Round of 32.
