2024 Judith Chime Championship: Giant Empress and Greenfoot Academy off to flying start

The third edition of the 2024 Judith Chime Championship got underway in Enugu with two games.
Giant Empress secured a 4-1 win against Salt Jewels in one of the opening games.
A brace from Udeagha Grace and a goal from Gideon Chidinma helped Giant Empress to victory.
Divine Didi reduced the deficit for Salt Jewels FC.
In the other match, Greenfoot Academy thrashed Bravehearts FC 4-0 as Onuchukwu Chisom scored two goals.
Ohiaeri Amarachi and Anastesia Uzor added a goal each for Greenfoot Academy.
Action continues on Monday with three games. Holders, Imo Striker Queens, will start their title defense against Rising Star by 9:00 am.
Zohar FC will trade tackles with GGTC before the final match of the game between Disdevt in Afrik Jewels and Solo Wonders.
Formerly the Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup, the Judith Chime Championship is organised to develop young talents who will go on to represent Nigeria at the national team level.
