2024 NBSL Super 4 MD 2 Wrap: Kebbi BSC close to third league title in fourth attempt

Reigning Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) champions, Kebbi BSC is close to retaining the league title after a resounding 5-0 thrashing of Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors in the second Matchday of the 2024NBSL Super 4 in Kaduna State.

Adams Taiwo opened the scoring for the Kebbi Fishers in the first period before captain Ekene Obi doubled the lead. Emmanuel Ohwoferia made it 3-0 before the end of the first period as the second period ended without any goal.

Hassan Abdullahi scored two goals in the third period to seal a 5-0 win for the top-ranked beach soccer club in Africa.

The second match between host Kada BSC and Kebbi United BSC ended 5-3 in favour of the second team from Kebbi State. Ibrahim Malami and Usman Muhammad gave them a two-goal lead before the current league’s top goal scorer Umar Sadiq increased the lead to three.

Goals from Victor Tale and Tanko Emmanuel in the second period took the host close to a comeback but Umar Aliyu and Monday Joseph responded with two goals for Kebbi United.

Dozie Frank who has been the lead top goal scorer for the past two seasons scored a consolation as the host kissed the league title goodbye.

They will face Kebbi BSC in the final Matchday on Saturday after Anambra BSW game with Kebbi United BSC. There will also be an All-Stars Novelty match before the league winners for the 2024 season will be crowned.
