2024 Paris Olympics: NOC backs Super Falcons to finish strong

The Secretary General of the Nigeria Olympics Committee (NOC), Tunji Popoola, has tipped the national women’s team to finish strong in the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

The Super Falcons are returning to the Olympics after a 16-year hiatus from the global multi-sport event.

The NOC scribe is confident in the qualities of the Super Falcons squad and predicts a podium finish for the team, assuring that Team Nigeria will rack up medals from different sports in the Olympics.

“We have a strong football team; I will tip them for a medal,” he was quoted by Daily Post.

“Also, we should expect medals in athletics, weightlifting, and wrestling. We will surprise Nigerians with a bag of medals.”

The nine-time African champions are drawn in Group C against Brazil, Spain, and Japan.
