2025 WAFU-B U-17 Tournament: Golden Eaglets injury-free ahead of Burkina Faso clash

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

The Nigeria U-17 national team continued their preparations in Yamoussoukro with a light recovery session on Thursday, as the players engaged in a 30-minute aerobic exercise in the swimming pool.

Despite the hard tackles received in their opening 4-1 victory over Benin Republic, the team remains injury free.

Forward David Edeh, who was substituted in the second half after being hit on the chest by a Benin defender, has also fully recovered and is available for selection.

Nigerians based in Yamoussoukro have expressed delight with the team’s performance and promised to mobilise in large numbers to cheer the Golden Eaglets when they face defending champions Burkina Faso on Saturday in their final group match.

The encounter will determine which teams advance to the semi-finals of the 2025 WAFU-B U-17 Championship.
