AFCON 2023: Time and where to watch Guinea-Bissau vs Nigeria
By Monsurah Olatunji

Guinea-Bissau will take on Nigeria in an attempt to avoid getting knocked out of the Africa Cup of Nations group stage for a record-breaking fourth time.
The two teams have faced each other in the past, with Nigeria typically having the upper hand, as the Super Eagles have defeated the Wild Dogs twice out of three meetings, including two qualifiers for this competition last year.
The match will mark the nation’s 100th appearance in the Africa Cup of Nations since it first participated in the competition in 1963.
In addition to being the 100th game of the competition, the encounter against the Wild Dogs will also mark the chance to score the 140th goal for the nation.
On Thursday, William Ekong scored the 139th goal of the season from the penalty spot against the Ivorian Elephants.
Nigeria’s recent victory over Ivory Coast and their consistent scoring in determinant matches further bolster their strong position.
The West Africans need either a win or a draw to guarantee their place in the knockout stage. They currently sit second in their group with four points.
Guinea-Bissau, on the other hand, is in a must-win situation to keep their chances alive in the tournament. They are at the bottom of their group without any points.
The match will take place on Monday, 22nd January 2024 at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, with kick-off set for 6:00 PM WAT.
The match will be broadcasted live on Afrosport TV and its affiliate partners, including AIT, NTA, TVC, Silverbird TV, Wazobia Max, and Affia TV.
Supersport on DSTV and Sports Premium on Startimes will all broadcast the game.
Additionally, member stations of the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria (BON) will show the match.
