Enugu Rangers head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has expressed his delight after leading his team to clinch the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title in impressive fashion.
The Flying Antelopes secured the championship with a 2-0 victory over Bendel Insurance.
Reflecting on the team’s title-winning campaign, Ilechukwu credited their success to strict adherence to their game plan. He emphasized the importance of consistency and strategy throughout the season.
“We played a great game against a strong side like Insurance, but we stuck to our game plan and scored the goals that have ultimately made us the Nigeria league champions for the 2023/2024 season,” Ilechukwu told the Press.
He also acknowledged the significance of results from other matches, which contributed to their triumph, but maintained that their focus remains sharp as they prepare for the final match of the season against Gombe United. Ilechukwu is determined to end the season on a high note.
“We are confident that we have done well enough to be crowned the league champions. As we approach the last match of the season against Gombe United, we shall remain focused and work hard, trusting that God will guide us to our desired goals,” he concluded.
