WAFU-B releases activities schedule for 2024 calendar

The West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B), Football ruling body in West Africa sub region has released schedule of various tournaments to be held in the year, 2024.

After the conclusion of the U-17 AFCON Qualifiers in Ghana last month, the next focus is 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers.

Cote D’Ivoire will host the tournament from August 10 to 23 with representative from Nigeria, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Togo, Cote D’Ivoire, and Niger Republic.

Ampem Darkoa of Ghana won the last edition hosted in Benin City, Edo State capital, Nigeria in 2023.

After the CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers, the region will also stage the U-20 AFCON Qualifiers from October 17 to 31 in Togo.

The last tournament on the agenda is the Qualifiers for CAF School Tournament from November 20 to 24.

Nigerian teams will partake at the tournaments especially Edo Queens which won the 2023/2024 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership title.

The Flying Eagles have to the U-20 AFCON Qualifiers to tackle in October.
