Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen has expressed his excitement about partnering with Álvaro Morata at Galatasaray, highlighting the Spanish forward’s experience and team-oriented style of play.
The pair featured together for over 80 minutes in Galatasaray’s 2-1 victory over Alanyaspor at GAIN Park Stadium on Sunday. It was their first match playing side by side since Morata’s arrival in Turkey.
Osimhen, who had formed a strong partnership with Mauro Icardi earlier in the season before his ACL injury, is optimistic about the potential impact of his partnership with Morata moving forward.
The duo’s chemistry has already begun to show promise, and Osimhen is eager to continue building their understanding on the field.
“It was incredible to play with him (Morata). He is a very experienced player. We all know him,” Osimhen said via Galatasaray’s website.
“He is a team player who comes close to receiving the ball in attack, helps the team, and he is an advanced player. I am very happy to play with him. We hope for a season where both of us score more goals and our momentum increases.”
As the season progresses, both forwards are expected to play a key role in Galatasaray’s attacking strategy, with Osimhen and Morata aiming to contribute significantly to the team’s success in the Super Lig.
