Kwara United midfielder Kabiru Mohammed has expressed confidence that the Harmony Boys will bounce back strongly following their disappointing opening-day result in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Ilorin-based side were held to a goalless draw by newly promoted Ikorodu City in their Matchday One clash at the Kwara State Stadium on Sunday.
Looking ahead to their next fixture away to Rivers United in Port Harcourt this weekend, Mohammed assured that the team is determined to sharpen their attacking edge and convert chances into goals.
“Sharing the points was not our intention in Ilorin last week,” Mohammed told the club’s media.
“We will improve and make sure we convert our chances from the next game.”
Kwara United will be seeking their first win of the campaign against the Pride of Rivers as they aim for a positive start to the new season.
