Kun Khalifat head coach, Obinna Uzoho, has admitted that his side must produce a positive response after a disappointing start to life in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Owerri-based newcomers have lost their opening two matches of the season, most recently falling to a 2-1 home defeat against reigning champions Remo Stars at the Enyimba Stadium in Aba on Monday.
Looking ahead to their Matchday Three clash with Kwara United at the Rashidi Yekini Stadium in Ilorin this weekend, Uzoho acknowledged that his team must show more sharpness and focus.
“It can be painful if you don’t get what you want despite putting much effort, but maybe we still need to do more,” Uzoho told Nigeria Players Gallery.
“We’ll go out there and look for a good result, knowing we lost at home and must get a point or points. With more belief from our fans, we are sure of getting back to good positions.”
Uzoho also urged supporters to stay behind the team as they continue to adapt to the demands of the NPFL, insisting that their backing will be crucial in turning things around.
