Former Nigeria women’s national football team star Loretta Sadoh has celebrated a new chapter in her life after holding her wedding ceremony last weekend.
Sadoh, a member of Nigeria’s victorious squad at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, got married to Solomon Oyemade in a colourful traditional ceremony held in Ikorodu, Lagos.
The former defender, who also served as a volunteer at the recent FIFA Club World Cup in the United States of America, returned home to mark the special occasion with family, friends, and loved ones.
Sadoh was part of the Super Falcons squad that reinforced Nigeria’s dominance on the continent, contributing to the country’s status as 10-time African champions.
Her wedding adds her name to the growing list of former Nigerian women’s national team players who have transitioned into married life after distinguished careers on the pitch.
The ceremony in Lagos was a celebration of both love and legacy, honouring a player who once proudly represented Nigeria on the continental stage.
