A New Chapter Begins for Nigerian Midfield Sensation Mary Aderemi

Rising Nigerian midfield star Mary Aderemi has officially completed a one-year deal with FC Dnepr Mogilev, making the move from Nigerian champions Bayelsa Queens FC.

The creative midfielder, widely regarded as one of the brightest talents in Nigerian women’s football, joins the Belarusian side following a standout season in which she played a pivotal role in Bayelsa Queens’ triumph in the 2025 Nigeria Women Football League.

Aderemi’s journey to Europe has been fueled by consistency, vision, and flair. Known for her ability to dictate the tempo of games, unlock defenses with precise passing, and deliver in crucial moments, she quickly became the heartbeat of Bayelsa Queens’ midfield. Her performances not only drove her club to domestic glory but also earned her recognition on the continental stage.

On the African scene, Aderemi featured prominently with the Super Falconets of Nigeria during the CAF WAFU B tournament, helping the team clinch the championship. In club football, she played a key role in Bayelsa Queens’ impressive run to the CAF Women’s Champions League final, where they narrowly fell to ASEC Mimosas in a hard-fought showdown that highlighted her composure and class under pressure.

Her talents have also been recognized internationally. Aderemi represented Nigeria at the U-20 level during the WAFU B U-20 Women’s Championship, cementing her reputation as a technically gifted and intelligent midfielder capable of influencing games at the highest youth level.

The one-year agreement with Dnepr Mogilev is seen as a strategic move, providing Aderemi with the opportunity to adapt to European football while allowing the club to integrate her creativity into their system. For both player and club, it represents a calculated step with potentially high rewards.

As she prepares to begin life in Europe, one thing is clear: Mary Aderemi is not just taking a step forward—she’s stepping onto a bigger stage.
