Saviour Godwin: Nigeria midfielder helps Casa Pia to reach Portuguese Cup last eight

Former Nigeria youth international, Saviour Godwin lived up to his name on Thursday as he propelled his Portuguese club side Casa Pia to defeat Victoria Setubal 1-0 in the Round of 16 of the Portuguese Cup.
Savior who joined Casa Pia in the summer of 2020 was involved the goal that saw Cameroonian Yan Eteki scored the only goal of the match within three minutes to the encounter after beating three of his markers.
The encounter which ended in favor of the fifth place Premeira Liga club have now qualified for the quarterfinal.
The 26-year-old who has had one senior international appearance for Nigeria has scored there goals and provided one in 15 competitive games for Casa Pia this season.
Godwin was part of Nigeria U20 national team to 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup held in New Zealand and he was also in the Nigeria’s U23 national team that won bronze at the 2018 Olympic Games in Rio.
