Nigerian football legend Jay-Jay Okocha has praised Paris Saint-Germain for their dominant and historic UEFA Champions League victory, describing the French club’s 5–0 win over Inter Milan as fully deserved.
PSG clinched their first-ever Champions League title with a commanding performance at the Allianz Arena in Munich, completing an unprecedented quadruple under head coach Luis Enrique.
Okocha, who played for PSG from 1998 to 2002, was in attendance and joined the TNT Sports panel post-match to analyze the emphatic win.
The 51-year-old commended the players’ brilliance, discipline, and unity throughout the campaign.
“It’s amazing, and the way they did it, they made it look so easy,” Okocha said. “They came with a good game plan, it worked out for them, and they totally deserved it.”
“I didn’t think it would be 5–0 — I predicted 2–1 — but who cares? I wanted to see them win, and they won. It’s great for the club, the first time in their history, and I think it’s good for football as well.”
The five-goal margin is now the largest ever recorded in a UEFA Champions League final, stressing PSG’s dominance and marking a new era in the club’s history.
