Oluwasegun Olalere reacts after Man-of-the-match award against El Kanemi Warriors

Remo Stars defender Oluwasegun Olalere is happy to be named the man-of-the-match in Sunday’s 2-0 victory in an opening Nigeria Premier Football League campaign against El-Kanemi Warriors at the Remo Stars Stadium.
Olalere played a pivotal role in marshalling the Sky Blue Stars’ defense with a clean sheet and he nagged the award from Remo Stars Chief Operating Officer (CEO), Mr. Adedoyin Ogungbefun with a solid and commanding display.
“I am very happy and so excited to win this award because I wasn’t expecting it. Kudos to my teammates that made this happen because without them I won’t receive this man of the match award,” Oluwasegun told nigeriafootball.ng after receiving the award.
“I was very impressed with my game because it was fantastic. It’s God that has the power, might, and everything, I believe that I will keep doing well with God’s support. I am going to keep putting up this performance in many games to come with consistency in my game.”
The 23-year-old centre-back joined Remo Stars ahead of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) campaign and quickly blend into the team.
The Zenit Emperor product, who can play as a centre-back and left-back has previously suited up for KF Shkupi of Macedonia, Warri Wolves, and Sporting Lagos and he will hope to excel with the Ikenne based side this term.
