NNL: Governor Ganduje sets up caretaker committee for Kano Pillars

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has approved the appointment of a four-man Caretaker Committee for the Kano Pillars Football Club on Saturday in Kano.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abba Anwar, the four-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions have reorganized their technical crew, with experienced tactician Evan Ogenyi now in charge.
Following their relegation to the second division in 2022, the management have turned their attention to the Nigeria National League as the new season campaign kicks off in March.
According to Anwar, the appointments are with immediate effect.
“The terms of reference given to the committee are to oversee all the affairs of the team, to determine all issues related to the team and to make any recommendation(s) considered as appropriate for the team,” the statement reads.
“They would be reporting to the Office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Usman Bala Muhammad.”
The Committee has Kabiru Baita, Special Adviser to the Governor on Sports, as Chairman, with Abba Galadima, Mukhtar Ahmed and Engineer Munir Ahmad Gwarzo, Managing Director, Water Resources and Engineering Construction Authority (WRECA) as members.
Ahead of the new season, Pillars are in Group A3 with Kebbi United, Sokoto United and Malumfashi FC of Katsina,
