Rumour Mills: AC Milan to accelerate pursuit of €30m-rated Villarreal star

Italian Serie A side, AC Milan are planning on using the proceeds from Sandro Tonali’s sale to secure the signing of Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze.
According to the latest update from Matteo Moretto for the Spanish news outlet, Relevo, Milan will try to intensify contacts for Chukwueze next week, whose contract with Villarreal expires in 2024 and there are no signs of a renewal at present.
After the sale of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle, the Rossoneri have placed the Super Eagles winger at the top of their wish list and will try to reach an agreement with Fernando Roig’s side, as per the journalist.
The deal would cost around €30m despite the fact he has just a year left on his deal. With Chukwueze still a non-EU passport, Milan would have to note that that the Nigerian would take up one of the remaining two slots available.
Chukwueze who Rose from the ranks of Yellow Submarines’ second team has become an integral part of the first team since the 2018/2019 season.
He was part of the team that won the UEFA Europa League, the team’s first European title.
Last season, he scored six goals with six assists for Villareal in 37 league games.
