By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde
Ahead of the first leg of the CAF Champions League Preliminary Round with Nigeria representatives, Remo Stars, coach of Medeama of Ghana is planning his strategy for the encounter.
The head coach of Medeama SC, Evans Adotey, has confirmed that they are aware of the Remo Stars’ weakness.
The Ghana Premier League champions will host Nigeria’s representative Remo Stars in the first leg of the preliminary round at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday to get a positive result.
“One may not come out as a coach to demonstrate or brief the public as to how he plans or his knowledge about the opponent and “we’ve observed their games.
“Recently I saw their games during a tournament in Nigeria. I have seen them severally and I have tapes of their games.
“We’ve identified a few points including weaknesses and strengths. We’ve seen them and we’ve planned for them”, he concluded.
Medeama clinched the league title last season ahead of Aduana which qualified the team for the 2023/2024 CAF Champions League.
Remo Stars made it back-to-back continental qualification after their experience in the CAF Confederation Cup last season as the team finished second at the end of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Playoffs behind champions, Enyimba on an inferior goal difference.
The top three teams at the end of the Playoffs ended the campaign with nine points apiece.
