Rangers coach Michael Beale has defended Cyriel Dessers following a VAR review that ruled out their goal against Celtic.
The Nigerian international thought he had assisted Kemar Roofe to give Rangers the lead but a VAR review showed he had committed a foul in the build-up.
Prior to the game, the Super Eagles star promised to give his all to ensure that the Gers emerged victorious against their arch-rival in the Old Firm derby.

However, Celtics went on to win thanks to Kyogo Furuhashi’s goal before halftime and Beale believes the decision to rule out the goals was inaccurate as Dessers got the ball away cleverly.
“The VAR decision [to disallow our goal] I’m not sure about,” Beale said per Daily Record.
“I think Cyriel puts his foot down, and the boy [Celtics defender Lagerbi] kicks him. I think he’s a lucky boy. I’m disappointed that goes against us.”
