Nationwide strike force Wikki Tourists to call off Lobi Stars friendly

Wikki Tourists have called off their proposed preseason friendly against Lobi Stars slated for Bauchi on Wednesday.

The friendly earlier scheduled to be played behind closed door was called off due to the two-day nationwide warning strike by the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC as reason.

Wikki were aiming to use the game to ascertain their level of readiness for the new Nigeria National League season.

The Interim Management Board said the change will not affect the other two matches with Gombe United slated for Thursday 07/09/23 and Jigawa Golden Stars on Friday 08/09/2023.

Wikki Tourists suffered relegation at the end of an abridged 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL season.
