Scalvini on Golden Boy 2023 shortlist

Tuttosport have introduced the 20-man shortlist for his or her prestigious Golden Boy award, together with Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini, Actual Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund.

The award has been handed out for 20 years now and is voted for by a panel of specialists round European soccer.

They whittled down the shortlist to twenty names of gamers below the age of 21 who play within the high tier of any European league.

The winner of the 2022 version was Barcelona expertise Gavi and the very first winner in 2003 was Rafael van der Vaart, then of Ajax.

Atalanta defender Scalvini is the one Italian participant to have made the 2023 shortlist.
