Address the dress: NPFL board fine lands on Katsina United

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has taken disciplinary action on Katsina United for one of their player’s kits during their last league game in Lagos.

The Northern side was fine for infringing on the league dressing code.

A player of the team was spotted with a jersey that the number and name was written with marker at the back side.

Katsina United was found to have flouted the code during their MatchDay 11 fixture in Lagos against Sporting Lagos.

Katsina United has been ordered to pay ₦1 million for the inappropriate display of the player’s name and number.

Furthermore, the Kits Manager, Masudu Lawal received a one-year ban from all NPFL activities for improper conduct.

The decision will send sounds of warning to other teams planning to follow similar ways. The kit scenario can be likened to that of Enyimba FC in the first leg of their African Football League (AFL) game in Uyo.

One of the team players was seen on live television putting on a kit with his name written with a marker.
