Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ike Shorunmu who is currently part of the technical crew of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia has revealed reasons his team was unable to run away with maximum points
The Warriors were away to Bayelsa United on Sunday for their matchday 11 gritty clash where they drew 2-2.
The visitors were two goals up, thanks to Samson Obi and Ibrahim Dehinde’s second half strikes.
However, they were unable to hold as league’s current topscorer, Robert Mizo, fired two quick-fire goals in the 82nd (off a freekick) and 87th minute to bring his side back on level terms following a  defensive mix-up by the Warriors.
“We were up by 2-0 but a momentary loss of concentration cost us victory,” Shorunmu, a former Shooting Stars of Ibadan goalkeeper told Exclusivenews.
“But that’s football for you. It happens like that sometimes but we’ll go back home and face our next game against Sporting Lagos on Wednesday”.
