AFCON 2023: Guinea-Bissau chose Mali as base camp to prepare for Nigeria clash

The Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau have announced Bamako, Mali as their base for the final preparatory venue ahead of their African Cup of Nations, AFCON participation in Ivory Coast.
The West African side are in the same group with Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Elephants of Ivory Coast and Equatorial Guinea at the tournament.
The Djurtus made their debut in the biennial tournament in 2017 and they have not missed any edition since then.
The Football Federation of Guinea-Bissau on Monday afternoon announced that Mali will give the team the needed ambiance expected to experience in Ivory Coast and want the boys to be in good frame of mind when the competition get underway.
Guinea-Bissau will kickoff their 2023 AFCON tournament against Ivory Coast on January 13th before taking Equatorial Guinea on 18th and wrapped up the group stage with a clash against Nigeria on January 22nd.
