African Games: Flying Eagles fixtures unveiled ahead of men’s football opener

Nigeria U-20 national team will play their first match at the 2023 African Games men’s football event on Thursday.
Similarly to their women’s counterparts who will face Morocco in the first match of the football event on Friday, the Flying Eagles will open their campaign on Thursday.
Ladan Boso’s side will face Uganda by 9:00 pm Nigerian time at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first match.
The match will take place after the official opening game between South Sudan and Senegal a the same venue by 6:00 pm.
Nigeria’s second group game with South Sudan has been scheduled for March 11, 2024.
Their last group encounter against Senegal which will decide the two teams that will make it to the semi-final is slated for March 15.
Nigeria won a silver medal at the last Africa Games in Rabat, Morocco.
They intend to surpass that feat this year starting with getting to the semi-final from the group stage.
