Alex Iwobi confident squad depth would inspire Everton to beat Newcastle United

Everton utility player, Alex Iwobi is optimistic that the return of players from injury and the strength in squad depth will help the Toffees defeat Newcastle when they meet on Thursday 27th of April.

The Toffees are battling to escape the drop this season as they face a tough encounter with the Magpies at the Goodison Park.

Super Eagles midfielder is hoping fans support would motivate them to defeat Newcastle United at the Goodison Park as he relish the prospect of some returning key players.

“It’s another game at home with the fans behind us,” Complete Sports quoted Iwobi.

“That should lift and motivate us. Newcastle are coming off the back of a good win, but we’ve got the motivation and a couple of players coming back. Doucs and Dom are back.

“Hopefully Amadou will be back as well. With everyone returning, there is strength in depth in the squad, so we should do well. The result we had last time at home against them should give us added motivation, too.”
