Alex Iwobi tasks Everton players on making strong Premier League finish

Nigeria midfielder, Alex Iwobi urged his Everton teammates to improve their standard of play as they prepare for the 2023/2024 season.

The Toffees had a bad run of results last season as they battled to avoid the drop in the English Premier League.

The Super Eagles forward said the players don’t want to repeat last season’s performance fighting against the relegation drop.

“Obviously, as a team we don’t want to be where we were last year. We want to improve and with the players we have, with the quality we have, we should be able to do that,” Iwobi was quoted by Complete Sports.

“It’s been tough of course, it was my first week back. It’s been hard, it’s been hot, it’s been humid, but those conditions will help us for the season.”

Everton polled 36 points in 38 matches to avoid relegation to the Championship last season.

Iwobi recorded seven assists in the 2022/2023 season and scored two goals.
