Former Manchester United star, Andy Cole has urged his former employers to go for Victor Osimhen instead of Harry Kane this summer.
The English outfit are in search of a top center-forward to solve their striking issue, with Tottenham’s all-time scorer, Harry Kane, among the club’s top transfer target as well Serie A highest goalscorer, Victor Osimhen, is an alternative.
Osimhen has been arguably Napoli’s best player this season after leading the Neapolitans to their first Serie A title success in 33 years scoring 23 goals and assisting another five.
On the other hand, Kane who will turn 30 in the summer, has 29 goals for Tottenham Hotspur this season, including 27 in the Premier League, but his search for silverware and Champions League outing could hasten his Spurs exit.
When asked about his recommendation, the 51-year-old former Newcastle star insists Osimhen is the perfect option for Manchester United as the former Blackburn striker believes the Nigerian’s age gives him an edge over Kane.
“Kane is 30 years old next season and Osimhen is currently 24 years old, and he’s already done a lot at his age too,”
Cole told King Casino Bonus per Utd district.
“Italian football is difficult, but there will be no doubt that he can adapt to the Premier League.
“If Manchester United want to pay £100m for a 24-year-old or a 30-year-old, you have to look at it in the long term.”
