Asisat Oshoala pivotal in Barcelona pre-season victory over Club America

Nigeria international, Asisat Oshoala began her pre-season friendly campaign with an assist in Barcelona’s 2-0 victory against Club America on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.

The “Agba Baller” returned to the starting lineup after coming off the bench against Juventus in the Gamper Cup.

The 28-year-old had opportunities to put Barcelona in front but however, ended up assisting Claudia Pina to score the first.

Club America was able to stop Barcelona from flooding them with goals as Oshoala was substituted at halftime.

However, Judit Pujols wrapped up the game with their second goal in the final seconds of the additional time.

The five-time African Player of the Year will now aim to find her first pre-season goal for Barcelona when they return to take on UNAL in their final game of the America tour scheduled for Friday, September 2, 2023.
