Deborah Abiodun Features in Launch of Washington Spirit’s ‘Spirit in Bloom’ Kit

Deborah Abiodun has taken centre stage in the unveiling of Washington Spirit’s striking new jersey, the Spirit in Bloom’ Kit.

The Nigeria women’s national football team midfielder helped present the club’s latest design, which draws inspiration from the iconic cherry blossom season in Washington, D.C..

The kit features a deep green base symbolising the flow of the Potomac River, with delicate blossom petals drifting across the surface. The artistic elements reflect both the natural beauty of the U.S. capital and the vibrant energy associated with the team.

According to the club, the design celebrates the strong connection between the Spirit and the culture of Washington, blending nature, identity and football into a distinctive visual statement for the new season.

Abiodun’s involvement in the launch highlights her growing profile at the club as she continues to make her mark in the National Women’s Soccer League.
