Asisat Oshoala’s Barcelona to face Wolfsburg in Uefa Women’s Champions League final

Nigeria forward Asisat Oshoala could win her second European title on June 3 when her Spanish side, FC Barcelona faces German champions, Wolfsburg in this year’s UEFA Champions League final.
The German side edged the English Women’s Super League (WSL) side, 3-2 after extra time to seal a 5-4 win on aggregate on Monday.
The first leg of the semi-final showdown had ended in a 2-2 draw in Germany but Stina Blackstenius gave the Gunners an 11th-minute lead before Jill Roord’s equalizer in the 41st minute.
Wolfsburg took the lead for the first time through Alexandra Popp’s header in the 58th minute while Arsenal took the game into extra after Jennifer Beattie’s equalizer.
Wolfsburg had the last laugh during extra time as Pauline Bremer scored the winning goal.
Oshoala and Barcelona win the Champions League for the first time in 2021 after a 4-0 win over Chelsea and will have to get its second win over Wolfsburg after two losses and a win in its last three games with the German Champions.
Barcelona had made it to four out of the last five Champions League finals and will hope to extend its record as the most successful Spanish team in Europe.
