Benjamin Tanimu ecstatic Over first ever Super Eagles call-up vs Ghana and Mali

Ihefu Sports defender, Benjamin Tanimu, is brimming with excitement over his maiden call-up to the Nigeria national team for the forthcoming friendly matches.
Set to face off against the Black Stars of Ghana and the Eagles of Mali in a double-header friendly scheduled for March 22nd and 24th in Rabat, Morocco, Tanimu’s inclusion in the 26-man squad marks a significant milestone in his career.
Expressing his gratitude to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the opportunity, Tanimu, who recently made the move to the Tanzanian club from Insurance FC, conveyed his eagerness to represent his country on the international stage.
In a statement shared on his social media handle, Tanimu underscored his commitment to serving Nigeria with all his strength, highlighting the honor bestowed upon him by the national team call-up.
The friendly matches serve as crucial preparation for the Super Eagles ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers later in the year, offering Tanimu and his teammates the chance to showcase their talents and contribute to the team’s success.
Amidst the absence of a head coach following Jose Peseiro’s departure, Tanimu’s inclusion in the squad reflects the ongoing efforts to rejuvenate and strengthen the national team, building on their impressive second-place finish in the recent African Cup of Nations held in Ivory Coast.
