Turkish Super Lig giants Beşiktaş have formally submitted an offer for Nigeria and OGC Nice forward Terem Moffi as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the second half of the season.
The Nigerian international has endured a turbulent spell at the French Ligue 1 club, having been sidelined in recent weeks following an alleged attack by supporters amid Nice’s poor run of form. The incident is understood to have further strained the relationship between Moffi and sections of the club’s fanbase, casting doubt over his long-term future at the Allianz Riviera.
Sources close to the situation indicate that Moffi has since signalled his desire to leave OGC Nice, attracting interest from several clubs across Europe. Beşiktaş have now entered the race, tabling an official offer in a bid to secure the striker’s services.
Moffi, who joined Nice after an impressive spell in Ligue 1, remains highly regarded for his physical presence, pace and proven goal-scoring ability at the top level.
A potential January move would represent a significant transfer, with more clubs expected to express concrete interest in the coming days. Talks are ongoing, with any final decision likely to hinge on Nice’s valuation of the player and the agreement of personal terms, as Beşiktaş push to complete the deal.
