Beyond Limits are 2023/2024 Nigeria National League champions

After sealing promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Beyond Limits Football Academy emerged as the champions of the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League (NNL) season with a 5-3 win on penalties over Nasarawa United in the final match of the 2024 NNL Super 8 in Enugu on Thursday.

The clash witnessed the two leaders from the Southern and Northern Conference of the NNL face off in winners takes all final.

Farouq Ogundare scored from the spot after Oluwaseyi Ogunniyi was brought down in the box to break the deadlock for the Ikenne-based side in the 28th minute of the match.

The lead last for five minutes before Yusuf Anas restored parity for the Solid Miners before the halftime break.

Back for the second half and Olumide Ajibolade’s side restored their lead. Ogbonaya Sunday put in a one time pass to Shina Ayodele to poke home in the six yard area.

Moses Eneji equalised for Nasarawa United in the 78th minute to take the game into penalties where Victory Iboro stepped up to rattle the net and won the trophy 5-3 for the Ikenne boys.

The victory signified year long of investment in youth by the management of the team which previously won the private TCC League, Viareggio Cup in Italy, and the Ogun State FA Cup.

The team has also won the TCC Cup and Evolution Cup Invitational Pre-Season Tournament in a trophy laden year for Beyond Limits.
