Boost for Man United as Darwin Nunez wants Premier League move

Manchester United has received a boost in their pursuit of striker Darwin Nunez as the player is said to be interested in moving to the Premier League.
The Benfica striker is one of the hottest properties this window and there were reports that Atletico Madrid was above everyone in the race to sign the player.
With Edinson Cavani set to leave in the summer and the future of Anthony Martial still uncertain, United want a new player to lead their goal hunt and feels that Nunez is the player.
According to the Mirror, Nunez’s advisers believe his style could be well suited to English football and United hopes that the 22-year-old Uruguay international will prefer a Premier League switch.
United are facing a huge problem with getting the player since they won’t be participating in the Champions League next season with the likes of Atleti and Bayern having an edge on this front.
The Premier League side however might have the financial muscle needed by Benfica to allow the player to leave. The striker who has a contract until 2025 has a £130m buy-out clause. but his club would be ready to sell for £70m as they try to balance their books.
