The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Mozambican officials to take charge of the game between the Nigeria Beach soccer national team and their counterparts from Mauritania on Saturday.

Dique Salvador Muxanga is the referee for the return leg clash, with his compatriots Angelo Almeida Nguenha and Jonas Chochota Chochato as Referees 1 and 2 respectively.

Angolan Eliano Domingos Tito Iacala will be the timekeeper, while Adalberto Luis Fonseca Catambi from Sao Tome and Principe will serve as commissioner.

All the match officials arrived in Kaduna on Thursday.

The first leg last weekend in Mauritania ended 5-4 in favor of the Super Sand Eagles as they returned to international tournaments for the first time since 2019.

Goals from Emeka Ogbonna, Taiwo Adams (brace), and Victor Tale (brace) lifted the two-time African champions to a slim win.

The winner of this game on aggregate or otherwise, depending on the result after the first three periods, will qualify for the 2024 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (BSAFCON) in Egypt.

Tanzania and Morocco, alongside host Egypt, already qualified for the tournament after the withdrawal of Uganda and Angola, respectively.
