The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed officials for Nigeria’s beach soccer national team’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers return leg against Mauritania.
The second leg clash, set to take place in Nigeria from July 26 to 28, 2024, will see Dique Salvador Muxanga from Mozambique as the referee.
He will be assisted by his compatriots Angelo Almeida Nguenha and Jonas Chochota Chochato, serving as referee 2 and referee 3, respectively.
Eliano Domingos Tito Lacala from Angola will serve as the timekeeper for the game. The match commissioner for the encounter will be Adalberto Luis Fonseca Catambi from São Tomé and Príncipe.
The first leg in Mauritania marks the Super Sand Eagles’ return to international play since 2019 when the team was disbanded from international tournaments.
Following the conclusion of the 2024 Nigeria Beach Soccer League in Kaduna last weekend, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) now has the opportunity to appoint the technical crew and invite players for the two-legged match. As of now, the coaches and players for the games have not been named.
The winner of the two-legged clash, with the return leg in Nigeria (possibly Kaduna State) from July 26 to 28, will qualify for the 2024 Beach Soccer AFCON in Egypt.
The first leg in Mauritania is billed for July 19 to 21
