CAF CL: Finidi George working on new Enyimba approach for Ahli Benghazi visit
By Wale Mustapha
Head Coach of Enyimba, Finidi George has sent a stern warning to Libya’s Ahli Benghazi ahead of the team’s second leg, first round of 2023/2024 CAF Champions League clash in Aba on Sunday.
The Peoples Elephants suffered a painful 4-3 defeat in the first leg in Libya on Sunday in a match they gave their all and deserved a decent result.
Coach Finidi who is also one of the Super Eagles assistant coaches assures that his side is ready to take their pound of flesh even as he admitted it won’t be an easy match.
“In Aba, it’s going to be a different ball game. We will approach the game differently and hopefully, we will win it,” he told the club media.
“We know it’s not going to be easy but I think the players know what’s at stake and having played this well here (in Benghazi), going back to Aba with our home support, it’s going to be different and hopefully we are going to win it.”
The winner of the stage will face off with truimphant side between Benin Republic’s Coton Sports or ASEC Mimosas.
