By Wale Mustapha
Nigerian striker Tosin Omoyele made an impressive debut for CS Constantine on Saturday, scoring in their 2-0 victory over Rwanda’s Police FC in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup first round.
Omoyele, who recently transferred from Khenchala FC, was given a starting role in the match. He made an immediate impact, opening his goal account for Constantine.
Brahim Dib put the hosts ahead with a penalty in stoppage time of the first half. Omoyele extended the lead for Constantine in the 79th minute, finishing a low cross from the left side with a clinical strike.
The win puts Constantine in a strong position as they head into the second leg, scheduled for next Sunday in Kigali.
