CAF fixes July 13 as date for 2026 FIFA World Cup draw

Confederation of African Football, CAF have announced Thursday July 13 as draw date for the African preliminary qualifiers of 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In a release posted on CAF official website on Tuesday, the draws will take place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast shortly after the Confederation’s 45th Ordinary Assembly.
All the Associate members of CAF will be divided into nine groups where the eventual group winners will qualify for the 2026 mundial to be co-hosted by United States, Canada and Mexico.
The four best runners-up (from the Groups) will play in a CAF Play-Off tournament and the eventual winner will play in the FIFA Play-off Tournament.
